Lantanais a town inPalm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 10,423 at the2010 United States Census.
From 1974 until 1988, Lantana was home to the tradition of hosting the largest decoratedChristmas Treein the world. Every year, a huge tree would be shipped from thePacific Northwestto Lantana by rail to the grounds of theNational Enquirer, adjacent to theFlorida East Coast Railwaytracks. The event would attract thousands of visitors every night, and grew to be one of the most spectacular and celebrated holiday events inSouth Florida.
